Why "from the blue granite"?

The Oberlausitz is a stony area, primarily of granite. In the area around Neukirch it is the blue granite, which was mined many years ago in several quarries. Walking through the forest, one can still find many traces of mining today, e.g. Remaining holes and stone dumps. The blue granite has shaped the landscape and architecture of Upper Lusatia and therefore we chose this kennel name.
